I am an economist with experience in applied research, impact evaluation, and public policy.

My work focuses on generating rigorous evidence to inform economic policy decisions, with emphasis on developing countries.

Bio

André Mancha is an applied economist with interests in labor markets, crime, and public policy evaluation. His research uses modern econometric methods, including experiments and quasi-experimental approaches, to analyze the impact of government interventions.

He is currently a professor at the University of São Paulo (FEA-USP), an Invited Researcher at J-PAL, and Research Fellow at the JOI Brazil. He previously taught at Insper, where he lectured on econometrics, applied microeconomics, and industrial organization.
